DOL Releases Model Notice for Health Insurance Exchange

On Wednesday, May 8, the US Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) released the long-anticipated Model Notice regarding the availability of coverage through the Health Insurance Exchange. The Notice must be distributed to all employees, regardless of their eligibility for or enrollment in a group health plan, by October 1, 2013. Click here to download the Notice.

In addition, a revised Model COBRA Election Notice was released. The new COBRA Notice references the availability of coverage through the Exchange. Click here to download the COBRA Notice.
